Comments:
Very weird propagation due to the arriving CMEs. I wasn't hearing the W1 area
or the west coast at all. PJ2T was good copy right after sunset. He was also
there about the same time on Saturday with few takers. I got up early on
Saturday and worked KH6AQ. At 7:30am local, the band went dead.
Saturday night was slower for me, I think a lot of guys found something more
beneficial to do with their time. The Northeast was finally coming through. I
wanted to get at least one W6 in the log before I quit. A few very weak ones
started to appear but they couldn't hear me. I saw TI7W spotted so I tried him
instead. He had a pileup but he answered my first call. That's the craziness
of 160. Can't work CA but I can work TI easily. Around midnight the west coast
showed up but very weak. QSB took long slow fades so I had to wait until they
were peaking before calling them. I was able to add SF SJV EB SDG before
quitting.
I got up after sunrise Sunday and there was only one station on, VE5MX in SK.
Good for a new mult. 160 is nuts.
