Comments:
Started out with a very loud buzz that persisted the entire contest. I suspect
it is local, will be looking for it this week. The K3 NB reduced it quite a bit,
but laid over the top of many weak stations that I otherwise would have copied.
Later in contest, it occurred to me to do a wideband presentation on the P3
which showed a minimum about 1830 to 1835, and I stayed around there for runs,
except when I was sleepy and forgot :>)
I will definitely have to find this one which is clearly 120 Hz, manmade and
definitely strong enough to locate.
Many thanks for those who kept giving me fills until I got their
call/section/country. Saw an email about calling US stations with a list of
"alligators" which unfortunately this time I definitely deserved.
Clear that propagation is sunspot peak, and never saw any EU RBN spots on me,
but managed to work a few handfuls of EU regardless.
Had a very hard time working California stations, but worked two Hawaii
regardless.
73 and see you all in the Stew Perry.
Guy, K2AV
