Comments:
Stared off rather poorly. Had a 79 hour as opposed to last year's 109. I tried
20, 15 and 10 and all were equally bad for this location. I didn't do SO2R last
year for the first couple hours and thought I would do the same this year, now I
think that was a mistake. Comparing years I was 50 Q's behind after 4 hours and
stayed there.
With the slow Sunday rates I tried a little 2BSIQ with little results.
With the high bands so good not much activity on 40 until much later. 80 meters
is suppose to be a Midwest band but that didn't materialize this year for me.
Only a handful of dupes and a handful of first timers so that was good.
Last sections needed were MB, NNY, PR ND and VI. Very last one was PR which was
worked first thing Sunday morning. Think I worked at least 2 of sections.
Thanks to all for getting on and making the effort to keep the contest with the
long exchange going. Also thanks for the log checking and reports.
Congrats to the top guys for sticking it out with the dwindling participation.
