Comments:
Many thanks to Alex KH6YY for his kind hospitality. We experienced a north shore
of Oahu power outage Sunday morning that cost us about 90 minutes of prime
Mainland USA and Europe runs. Otherwise, the station, equipment, and operators
performed flawlessly.
New ELECRAFT K4s on all the bands were great and to have TVBob N6TV with his K4
expertise on-site was priceless. Bob claims to not be a phone operator but his
10 meters performance was outstanding. Primary band responsibilities were
160 NH6XO Bob
80 AA6AA Steve
40 NH7T John
20 KX7M Denny
15 N6TJ Jim
10 N6TV Bob
with timely breaks provided by KH6WG Stephen, AH6OZ Walt, and KH7U Kimo
Conditions left much to be desired with only 506 Europeans logged. Good activity
from Japan with 1547 JAs logged. From China, we had 165 QSO, 185 from Australia
and 195 from Indonesia.
As usual, the post-contest BBQ was the highlight of the weekend. Thank you
again, Tracy and Alex.
And thanks to all who found their way into the KH6J logs.
Vy 73,
Jim Neiger N6TJ
