Comments:
This was not as enjoyable as it could have been. Sunday starting about 16Z until
21Z
WA signals on 10M were incredibly loud! And they were much better than 15 or
20M. Now take a look at my QSO totals. There wasn't much WA activity on 15 SSB
or either mode on 10M. I tried CQ's on 10/15/20 SSB when I had worked out most
of the WA stations I could find, did not have much success. I even did some
CQ'ing on CW.
Thanks to K7TQ/M who was about the only mobile/rover I heard for quite a few
mults, but the total was still fairly low.
I have concluded that even with great high band conditions, for some reason WA
ops are not willing or smart enough to move above 20M. The WA stations who were
on 10M Sunday were mostly running stations at a very high rate. Saturday was
pretty good on 10M as well. Just making 143 QSO's took a lot of time and effort.
Next year I will probably devote my time to the SAC CW contest. The 5 QP's plus
SAC make it difficult to do well in any QP which is made worse by TX moving to
the same weekend as an already crowded schedule.
