Hello from Kawaihae, Hawaii!
KX2, endfed (near house, lots of inverter noise), and 5W!
Opposite conditions for me compared to the AWT the hour before: in the AWT, the
JA signals were strong on 20m, and weak on 40m. So I was able to get a contact
on 20m. In the CWT, the NA signals were strong on 40m (a first for me), and weak
on 20m. The stations I worked on 40m were quite loud and clear, and relatively
easy to work! Thanks very much for the contacts!
I tried pouncing on NH6O and AH6KO - I was never able to hear NH6O, and AH6KO
was surprisingly weak on 40m (!!!???), and not nearly loud enough to be workable
on 20m.
I don't know if I'll be a regular at 13z, it's 3am local time here, but it was a
lot of fun!
Aloha and 72
Heather
