Comments:
This was a first for me! Single-Op/Single-Band/Lower-Power!
Due to my schedule, along with other obligations, I knew I would not be able to
operate the full contest and I could not begin operating until around 2100z. I
made the decision I would stay on 40 (my favorite band) and see what I could do.
This is also the first contest I have operated from my home QTH versus our
contest station in Tennessee in several months. To say it was a humbling
experience along with feeling like a bit of a masochist, is an understatement!
It's a good thing I really like this contest.
When I began operating, I was the only op in the SO-40 LP category, which made
it even less exciting. I decided to grab a few hours of sleep around midnight
and come back for the morning opening. When I came back I was excited to see
WA8ZNC had joined the category. Thank you WA8ZNC for deciding to join my pain
during the night, put up some Qs, and give me a reason to stay in the chair!
Thank you to all who worked me, all of my fellow SMC clubmates, and especially
my friend and station partner Ron WV4P. Ron is very good at providing amusement
via chat while we operate.
Always a fun little contest!
73, Brian K9TI
