Comments:
A couple of M-flares earlier today, and X-ray flux
in the higher C-range, so plenty of electrons in the
F2-layer in the daylight zone. However, Aurora well
over 50 gigawatts during CWT, so signals were damped.
Hard to reach USA on 14 MHz. Most stations there could
not hear me calling. An interesting effect on 21 MHz
where there were no RBN-flags from Europe at all on my
CQ's, but initially just from the USA East Coast. Greg
W1KM was the first heard and worked at 1345Z with the
strongest signal today. Chas K3WW and Eric WG3J worked
on 14/21... Ken JN1THL heard very weak near the end of
the session, when Eastern RBN-flags started to show up.
Despite the missing EU-flags, Chris SN5N wkd on scatter.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
