I thought I would try QRP to claim/establish the MI QRP record. I intended to
put in a full time effort, but family dynamics adjusted that goal and I was only
able to find 4 hours of time in front of the radio. Even so I was very
surprised at my success in making contacts at QRP power level. Not surprising
that I couldn't bust the pile-up on the Hawaii station in the 4 or 5 minutes I
tried but worked Costa Rica on the first call! I even had a 25 minute run on 40
meters which attracted 18 callers which turns out to be 18% of my QSOs in 10% of
my time. I may try QRP RTTY again just to try to exceed my first attempt.
