I just recently acquired my amateur radio license and after constructing my own
inverted L wire antenna in the trees, I can’t believe I already made contact
with an Australian station (with only 100 watts)! Albeit with great
difficulty… between your QSB (as reported) and my weak signal, I must thank
you for your tremendous patience in finally copying my callsign! Being quite new
to amateur radio, I’m not yet familiar with radio contest rules &
protocols.
Noise level here on 10m was practically zero, so your readability was a strong
“5” even though your signal levels ranged from “S-0 to S-0.5”).
