Comments:
In between the 2pm-5pm & 2am-5am shifts with NX6T, I was either
SLEEPing or playing around as WQ6X running QRP again from the Ramona
QTH. 10-meters was manifesting recently disappointing performance;
trnsl.: All-But-DEAD All-Around.
Thanks to incredible propagation 15 produced some amazing results,
like the LP-path to central EU by way of VK/ZL. The 3-el Stepp-IR
made it easy to switch antenna directions or run BI-directional
much of the time, altho that was of no hope on 10-meters, except to JA.
For NX6T 15-meters Saturday evening was completely unexpected - then
again, we'll take just about anything the Space-WX Gawds enable us to
experience.
20-meters has regained its status of being THE Dx-Band overall;
especially noticeable during QRP operations. I never could quite
reliably get anything to happen on 40 and 80-meters was simply a
desperate FLUKE, after ragchewing with the Redwood Radio Roundtable
group (3.853 @22:30pdt - M,Th,Sat).
Once 80 took a dive, I did as well - BEDTIME - ready for the 8:45z
wake-up roust by N6KI for the final 3-hours of the IARU GiG.
