Comments:
Just handing out some Qs on Saturday. I set up my second K3 temporarily in order
to work some FT8 on 6m. Curiously, during the contest period, I did not hear any
DX, although I worked some Europeans earlier Saturday morning.
The two radios did not suffer any mutual interference at all. However, the 6m
radio kept losing the receive PCM data stream after transmitting sometimes. I
thought this might be due to RF in the shack, so I wound the USB cable around an
FT240-31 toroid, and grounded the rig via copper strap to the station ground.
This did not help.
Then I reduced power, first to 50 watts, then 30, then 20 and finally 10. This
did not appear to make a difference.
It's a mystery. I worked 12 contacts on 6m FT8 even though I often had to
restart WSJT-X.
