Comments:
Absolutely miserable conditions here starting with heavy QRN from PA storms in
the afternoon. The few MI SSB stations in first 4 hours who I heard could not
hear me or barely so. By the time condx were good to MI on 40 at 22Z most MI
stations had "burned out their candle" and gone QRT. I tried 80/75
with only worsening QRN as the band opened and gave up on the hopeless situation
at 0031Z. I made many unanswered CQ's on 40M SSB and tried some CQ's on
20/40/80. The activity just was not there and/or bands not open. Thanks for the
QSO's. The MI working MI for Q's and mults discourages MI stations from working
20M and above.
FYI MI was open to here on 20 mostly only in first hour except for the UP.
The CQMM test was by far more fun than any QP last weekend (251 QSO's, calls
from YB and UN4); I may just skip the QP's next year.
73, Jeff
