Comments:
We have to recognize that a vast area around the
North Pole is now illuminated 24/7. This explains
the reported polar paths on 14 MHz due to the M3
flare peaking at 0554Z and pumping electrons in
the F2 layer in the hour leading to CWT 0700Z.
The stations coming through were WU6P VE6RST.
Otherwise X-ray level is quite 'retarded' and
mostly below the B/C-border level. The Winter
Anomaly has ended for the Northern Hemisphere
and MUF's are lower overall despite the higher
Solar angle. Correspondingly D-layer loss is
higher, biting most onto the lower frequencies.
Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA #1856 CWops
