Comments:
It was tough for DX on 14 MHz after a 99 gigawatts
Aurora earlier in the day. The Quadrantids were also
in the mix, but that peak was already around 0030Z
(Aurora spoiled the Arctic measurement for the peak).
It was very quiet on 21 MHz, but the most distant G's
were booming. There were marks of Es patches, and MS
on 50 MHz in the hours before the 1300Z session.
This summary was written after the 1900Z-summary.
Actually there was a wide C8.5 flare around the
commencement of the 1900Z session. On average
Solar X-rays tries to keep its feet dry above
the B/C-level borderline.
Happy New Year to all CWops! Cheers/73, Zaba OH1ZAA
