Antenna: 144' doublet at 60 feet with ladder line.
I was unable to begin operating until Saturday morning. After a slow start I
enjoyed myself, operating all S&P. Having left my east coast station with
its tower, good antennas, and good location over a year ago, I am still learning
what operating from Colorado with a simple wire antenna in the trees is like. 10
and 15 meter bands were in good condition. During the last hour of the contest a
pipeline opened to Japan on both 10 and 15 meters so that I wound up with 20% of
all contacts being from Japan. Other countries with more than a few contacts
were Canada, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Italy, France, Hawaii, and Chile.
