Comments:
Had limited time this weekend limited to first hour on Saturday and the rest
Sunday until dinner time. 40m turned out to be very productive for me Sunday
morning for a few hours and managed a couple good runs. The afternoon was spent
largely S&P filling in the mult table. Still came up 5 short on the sweep
missing SD, SDG, NL, NT, and SK. I saw spots for all of them except SDG. Just
couldn't hear them or punch through the pileup for NT. My Q for the afternoon
was AK for that mult. It was worth waiting out the pileup and snagged him just
a couple minutes before the dinner bell. Most difficult sections to close were
ND, AK due to the pileups and weak signals.
I did have one station glitch at the beginning of the contest. I thought I had
everything set up to go so I could operate the first 90 minutes. Well at the
starting bell, I was getting no mic audio to the rig even though I had tested it
a few hours earlier and even recorded an audio clip for a function key. Took me
30 minutes to figure out my mic had broken and switch to my backup mic. Not a
good start when I knew my time was limited.
Still had fun for the time I did have to operate and a little disappointed I
couldn't get the sweep.
73,
Eric - NR4O
