Comments:
A big thank you to all that called in, especially later on in the contest to
break up the CQ loop.
Band conditions were pretty good overall, although I couldn't get as much
traction on 40M and 80M as usual. Not as good of a start compared to last year,
but part of that may be due to not giving 10 meters a shot until Sunday. I
thought 15 and 20 would provide a larger foot print of possible callers.
Apologies to W7WHO. I called him not just once, but twice, in my haste to score
a QSO with imaginary fresh meat station W7WH. There were a lot of busted calls
making it through to the cluster.
The sweep didn't come quickly, but I worked at least two stations in each
section except PE. Got three VY1's and three VO's. For all the guys sweating it
out over LAX, I worked 8 of them! That's because LAX is right in that first skip
zone sweet spot for me.
Congrats to N2IC for being at the top of the heap for the nth time. Super job by
the ND7K crew and K1LZ right behind, who seemed to always beat me out in the
fresh meat pileups.
Thanks to all the GMCC members worked. Colorado is always well-represented.
