Comments:
We operated with the N4SS club call as a MS high power team.
Was good to have several of the guys together this weekend. John K4FT coming up
for a few hours Saturday was a real treat. His first time back to the station
since he has moved to SC. Glenn KO4OL was also there a few hours Saturday and
Scott N4AAJ for a couple hours Sunday. Clayton KJ4YLR and I were there for the
duration of the contest minus the last couple of hours.
Clayton did a lot of S&P and Glenn KO4OL did some running. I mostly ran but
a bit of S&P as well.
Unfortunately, the radio sat idle for a number of hours both nights and we QRT 2
hours before end of the contest, but I am still happy with our effort!
Band conditions were great, nice to be heading upwards on the cycle. The 10
meter qso count says it all. Stayed away from the low bands for the most part
other than just looking for mults.
Some very long propagation was experienced which made it big fun. It was hard
not to turn this into a DX'ing event rather than a high qso rate contest hihi. I
guess it is a DX contest after all.
Was great to run into so many friends and familiar calls, what a great community
we hams are!
Thank You to all for the Q's and I am looking forward to the annual trip to
Sicily to operate II9P for CQWW CW here in a few weeks!
