Comments:
Antenna : Low (20ft high) wire dipole, dropping down to 10ft at each end. The
40m antenna here may be relatively poor, but the ground beneath it is soaking
wet clay, which I am sure helps the signal a bit.
Today RTTY is no longer generally used, except in RTTY Contests - Long live the
"CQWW RTTY Contest"!
In RTTY Contesting "listening" to the frequency is important. It gives
you a vital sense of what is going on, unlike in FT8 where "listening"
to the frequency doesn't help you at all!
Made exactly 1,000 QSOs in 33 hours operating. That makes an average hourly rate
of 33 QSOs per hour.
