Comments:
As I did in the June VHF, I decided to be "analog only." (I
don't enjoy FT8 for contesting, although I do enjoy RTTY.) It
was also a very busy weekend with the US Open Tennis finals,
and a concert in Concord Sunday afternoon. I didn't have a
lot of BIC time -- 3 hours total, usually in short periods
of mostly quiet airwaves. I only heard one CW station, which
was too weak to copy, so it was all SSB.
This was my 24th "running" of the contest; I ended up in the
lower third of my scores. My best year was 2020 -- when I did
use FT8/4.
My usual complaint: stations running the bands who QSY without
giving their call and asking for other stations first. When you
do this you miss potential Qs from those who just ran across you.
