Comments:
This is always one of my favorite contests, but solar disturbances made things
very difficult. The bands came and went, over and over again. Sometimes I could
hear no one and other times I heard many ops, and they heard me. Very
unpredictable and frustrating. I was only able to make QSOs on 20 meters,
because 15, 40, and 80 wouldn't work from my location (even though I tried for
hours). The Kansas ops were all so wonderful! They called CQ for hours, even
when they couldn't hear any calls. Thank you so much for your patience with my
weaker signal. I was amazed how hard all of you tried to work me. The special
1x1 stations were all on and workable, despite conditions. I think I got all 4
words, in the spelling bee. It was difficult and at times frustrating, but I had
such a great time! Special thanks to the organizing committee; your rules are
thorough and easy to understand, and you arranged for so many 1x1 ops to do cw!
Many thanks to all!
