Comments:
This was my fifth attempt at this contest. My goals were,
as usual, a personal best and then (against all odds) AK on
80 for WAS and the five states I need on 160. Made the first
goal. Except for TX, 80 was all east of the Mississippi.
Forget 160 - I never heard anything.
I did infinitely better on 10 than the last four years.
Forty, 20, and 15 were all "bests" and 80 was close. My
final score was 77% greater than my previous best score.
After dinner 40 was very hot with about ten minutes at
a 60 rate -- this was mostly "C&P" -- and I averaged about
a 35 rate for the rest of the contest (80 & 40) until I
quit at 10:30 local.
The NAQPs are perhaps my favorite contests.
