Tried out a different strategy for this session that proved to be something of a
disaster. When the rate started dropping on the initial 40 meter run about
halfway through, I went to S&P and then did a trip up 20, also S&P. Back
to 40 for a short unproductive try at re-establishing a run and then a finish on
20 with a short run. Conditions were pretty good on both bands, with the W6 and
W7 stations reasonably strong on 40 for a change. The QSO deficit was likely the
result of this bad strategy rather than due to conditions. Once again, the old
adage "If you're not running you're losing" proved to be true. Back to
mostly running for the ensuing CWT sessions. See everyone at 1900Z.
