Comments:
Knowing that my weekend was full of family stuff, I knew I
would unfortunately have little time for this one, and no
time during the days. Still on my quest for AK on 80 to
complete 5BWAS, I decided to just do 80m as late nights and
early mornings were free. Given my minimal 80m wire and LP,
this was probably masochistic!
Split between S&P and C&P, my best rate was from 11:15
to 12:15pm local Friday night -- with a stupendous 39/hour
for about twenty minutes... Saturday morning at 5am for an
hour and Sunday morning at 4am were mostly a bust: nothing
but locals and dupes, and NO AK. :(
The good news... if I could hear them, they could hear me.
And with all of the new categories, perhaps I will have a W1
record for one year as a little fish in a micro-pond.
Rig: TS-590SG
Logger: N3FJP ARRL Int. DX Ver 5.1.1
My 80m "antenna" is part of a 160/80/40 fan dipole:
trapped 80/40 [SE-NW] AND trapped 160/75 [S-N, with
the north end turning a few times back on itself
to fit in the yard]. Center feed @ 35', ~15'at ends.
