Comments:
That has to rank as one of the weirdest NS sessions in which I've participated
to date. Had a funny feeling when I checked solar indices and RBN before the
start - A_p = 27, K = 3, but SFI = 127! Heard virtually no signals on 40,
didn't even try 20 meters, and 15? Ha! This was a one-band contest for me save
for a couple on 160 at the very end.
I was able to run 100 watts on 80 only by careful timing of keyboarding with RF
output, and RF locked up the keyboard on 160 at the end. I needed all 100 watts
tonight, so glad I could make Qs on 80 without too much disruption.
Worked lots of unfamiliar calls tonight plus a few old hands warming up for NAS
this weekend - glad to have them all, many thanks for the Qs!
