Comments:
Another weekend with the trio: myself w5mx, Terry aj4a and Clayton kj4ylr.
Can’t leave out my xyl Dawn as she made us a big pot of gumbo, rice and
peanut-butter cookies for snacking. I should add her name to the ops list! If
nothing else, we sure ate good this weekend hihi. I also picked up a nice
cooking stove for the contest station last week and brought down Friday. Thanks
to the guys for helping move it in. Getting to be more like home at the contest
site all the time hihi.
A bit of a twist this time as we had 2 separate activities at one time: cqww 160
cw and arrl winter field day (solo effort by Clayton). In spite of no special
filtering we had very little cross-band interference while both efforts taking
place.
The team here all agreed conditions were poor to our big points place Europe. A
decent short opening at EU sunrise Sat AM, but certainly nothing special.
Saturday night to Sunday AM was very poor to EU the whole night. We found
signals on the beverage to our NW were very subdued. Found animals had chewed on
the feed coax in 3 different places and n
