Comments:
Well when I first looked at loading my score here last night I saw that the new
Single Op Assisted Class wasn't an available choice, but I see that's been
fixed. I suspect a number of the scores already entered should be
re-categorized.
If there was an opening to here in NTX, I must have missed it.
Unlike the RTTY-RU and NAQP-CW where the lack of North Dakota stymied as WAS,
this time ND showed up, but I almost missed the state just to my north,
Oklahoma. I finally had 3 of them call in on 160m late and then managed to
catch one or two on 80 as well.
Being somewhat of a mult junkie, I enjoyed the new Assisted Class.
Was pleasantly surprised to work VY1CO on 40m for the YT mult. Managed an NL as
well but came up empty on QC!
Time on was 9h50m with 3 breaks.
The beverages were of great help on the low bands, I even had a several minute
frenetic run on 160m thanks to getting spotted. One highlight was calling K5RT
who lives about 40 miles from me on 20m and then having him move me to all 6
bands. That got me the one 10m Q.
Next up the MN QSO party, if I'm not too wiped out from impending rotator cuff
surgery.
I did record all the QSOs (I forgot to do it in NAQP-CW) and I'll have them
loaded up sometime after the log submission deadline. Go to my QRZ.com page and
follow the instructions if you want to listen.
Till next time,
Victor - WB0TEV
