Comments:
Well, that was interesting. I started with RTTY until N1MM+ and MMTTY crashed
hard, taking Windows with it and rebooting the computer. This removed my
configuration for N1MM+ and restoring that is not trivial. Fortunately, the log
database was intact.
Switching to WSJT-X, I discovered that FT4 is a splendid contest mode for a
simple station like mine (100 watts and an inverted-L). With the entire band
showing, it was a matter of “Click and Flick” the plentiful CQs in the main
window to make the QSO and go to the next, just like running and having stations
come to you. I’ve never had a station big enough to do that, so it was
addictive.
In reconstructing the log from the two pieces, 25 QSOs seem to have disappeared.
No matter, I had fun.
