5 W, dipole up 30', keyed with a Vibroplex bug.
I decided to run QRP for this contest to hand out more points. Conditions
seemed okay but not spectacular. As expected given my (low horizontal) antenna,
there wasn't much DX I could work. However, there were a few good openings to
the west coast that provided some good contacts in a short time. Nearly all
search-and-pounce, though calling CQ did yield a few contacts---just not enough
to consider it a run.
This is always a favorite contest of mine, and I'm pleased with how it went.
More contacts (by 7) than four years ago when I last ran QRP for it.
