CQWW CW is our favorite contest at SK3W and this year was special after not
being able to do multi-contesting for so many months due to the
Covid-situation.
Everything played very well at the station. We had one RUN with inband
capability and are now planning to add inband for the other RUN-station. The
inband blocking mechanism in DXLOG is very neat and it's easy to add several
radios to each RUN.
We felt that the propagation was alright, but have hoped for 10 meters to be
better. We made a mistake on Saturday and missed the start of the 15 meters
opening and probably we lost a handful multipliers that never showed up again.
40 meters onn Sunday around 11Z was amazing, with the band filled with 59+20 dB
signals from Japan - we have never experienced something like that from JA on 40
before.
Using https://contestonlinescore.com/ is very inspiring and we had a very good
fight with our friends at OH5Z. Of course ES9C team made an amazing score and we
realize early that they were untouchable.
When the dust settled on Monday morning we could see that the score was the
second best ever from SK3W in the M/2 category. Very satisfying and we got to
sleep with a smile on our faces.
