Comments:

Wow! This was my most enjoyable contest experience of all time. Everything
worked as it should, my repairs and alterations over the past months worked
flawlessly, and I experienced some operational things I had never seen before.
I could go a few more hours.

Best experiences:
   - getting back in the chair Sunday morning early, I found multiple stations
coming over the pole on both 80 and 40m, some of which I had never worked
before. I was able to add almost a dozen multipliers in ten minutes
   - 15m and 20m were still open after dark Sunday evening and with my C31XR
pointed at Asia and the XM240 pointing Europe, the amount of RF flooding that I
often contend with was greatly reduced allowing for some great SO2R activity.

I spent time tweaking my KPA1500 for VSWR limits so the tuner would not trip in
and out when I switch one particular pair of antennas. I am generally able to
forgo the internal tuner since my VSWRs are all very low, i.e. less than 1.5:1.
This paid off. Having both amplifiers be auto-tune was a great experience
compared to having to manually tune both amplifiers as before.

For the first contest ever I concentrated on multipliers exclusively, being very
careful not to get in "Run mode" rather than staying vigilant for
multipliers. I can't say I enjoyed this as much but it did help the final score
I believe.

I did have a sense that the bands were not as busy as they were just a few years
ago; a concern for sure.

Thanks to all for the great weekend playing with radios and antennas.

Jeff
