Comments:
After a busy week I wasn't highly motivated for this one.
Participating in a phone contest with low power and 30' high
dipoles for 40/80/160 is a bit masochistic.
I had just finished stringing up the Hy-Power trapped 75-160
dipole I used in Maine in my 60x100 back yard -- half of it
is straight, the other half folds back on itself a bit -- so
I wanted to give it a shake-down cruise. It did seem to work
far better on 75 than the 80/40 trapped dipole I have used in
the past, which really doesn't tune well for phone.
Sunday afternoon was a bit weird -- 20m suddenly was so quiet
that I went outside to see if my Moxon was still on the roof!
I didn't beat my personal best for this contest this time, but
I did come close, so I can't complain given the few hours I
spent in the chair.
