Comments:
Very weird propagation here, which I wouldn't have expected based on reasonable
solar flux, low A and K indices. No signals heard on 20 (not a surprise), but
usually loud stations on 40 were muffled as though very far away - loudest
signals were from TX, LA. Went to 80 early and dropped power to 10 watts to
keep logging computer happy, and it turned out to be my best band of the night!
Even made more than one Q on 160 at 10 watts, which is also a surprise. It will
be interesting to see others' takes on propagation. Glad to welcome N4BA, N7ZZ,
and AC5XK to the festivities tonight!
Many thanks for the Qs, great to see a few of you in Tuesday's Zoom session, and
73,
MikeNH
P.S. I will not be in the ARRL SS Phone contest - too much to do yet in
preparation for hosting Thanksgiving here - first time in a decade for us.
