Comments:
Late start. Working on caulking the garage that is connected to the shack.
Finding lots of construction defect and need to get ready for winter.
Had to leave at 4:40 for family pictures by the pond, then a family cookout,
followed by two grandkids spending the night. Managed to get on for the last
hour. 2:49 off time; 5:11 on time. Good initial rate on 40 SSB. The band
really was open to most of the USA, so there were lots of mults, but not many in
Illinois. Went to 40 CW and the rate continued, but skip was long and not many
in Illinois. Went to 20CW and picked up the DX mults quickly, then to 20 SSB.
Returned to 40 SSB at 19:24Z, then to 40 CW after my long break. I hated to
leave during prime time, but got back on at 23:59. Went to 80 CW at 00:11Z and
had an excellent run of 102 QSOs in 30 minutes. Went to 75 SSB. The Flex amp
kept shutting down, even though I was using the Flex tuner with very little SWR.
They still need to work on their SWR detection programming. I ran about 50
QSOs low power, then went to 80 CW for the last few minutes. Missed most of the
Illinois mults. Missed AK, HI, MS, SD, WY

I still have lots to do before winter. Maybe next year I can put in a serious
effort!
