Comments:
Fun but didn't expect signals to be as weak as they were. K index was 3 at
start, ugh! Overall rough copy on most bands. Took a break from 2101-2301z
hoping conditions would improve. Although activity dropped after 04z so probably
not the best plan. Initial goal was 600 QSOs. Rainy day outside so good day to
contest!
If score holds, broke the HH NAQP CW records: final score (56,991-1/93) and QSOs
(373-8/19) bummer I missed mults (157-1/93). Was really hoping for 10m to open
up but no such luck.
Figured I'd try operating as DX; definitely different than IL; cheaper than
flying; probably would have been better to do in Jan NAQP versus Aug NAQP.
Thank you Ray at RemoteHamRadio. Some concern about sustainability of internet
connection; only had one lock up but many internet burps; just meant asking for
repeats. Combine that with QSB...it was challenging.
Really appreciated stations that sent just name and state. When anything extra
is added, they'd fade by the time they got to name/state, ugh!
