Comments:
Making progress with TR4W but some goofs tonight for sure. K5PI csme over to do
the 19Z CWT yesterday afternoon, and Robert helped me with some key
instructions. Better now, but he left the radios set up to his personal
receiving preferences and I was slow to understand and to adjust them back to my
"favs." I'll be better next time. But am starting to like TR4W if not
fully in love with it. I did do a lot of inactive radio CQing and it netted some
good additional Qs and Ms. It is coming along.
Four QSO from wandering local and good pal N5AW who escaped the TX heat for
Colorado. Tnx much, Marv. Also a three bagger with K4OAQ, W8WTS, and K9BGL. Lots
and lots of great sigs and super ops on tonight as usual. Worked NA5G on two
bands from LA but never heard KZ5D, who I think had a schedule conflict tonight.
Trying to work up to give Art some competition!
Missed "Big Mike," W9RE, as well. Hope all is OK.
Five min segments: 11, 12, 8, 8, 10, and a poor ending with 6. Need to get my
SAL30 working again on 80 and 160. Had to use my transmit antenna tonight, but
conditions were excellent.
Tnx for a great half hour.
73, Jim N3BB
