Wow Wow!. That was a lot of contest operating to have only 188 QSOs. No
continental European QSOs were made. The few Europeans I heard were whispers in
the noise. IR6T came back with N2?? but we couldn't complete the QSO. I was
just too far north and west. South and Central Americans were plentiful,
strong, and efficient which kept me operating. I never heard any signals west of
KH6 except for a few ZLs.
FR4QT wins the prize for the best DX signal from afar. He was S9+ both days
starting at 1400 UTC. He resisted the many European stations calling him to work
only the W/VEs in the contest. That was interesting propagation.
I am confident we will soon exit from these propagation doldrums. Now onto the
summer antenna repairs and improvements.
Station: K3, KW amp, N1MM+, GHE, and a tri-band yagi (3 el on 15 meters) @ 80
ft.
