I was just going to run the 160 ssb contest and sleep the rest of the time and
not do the NAQP RTTY. I quit the 160 test early as I had amp problems and
decided to do the NAQP RTTY test and see how that went. I worked it till it
ended and then went back to the 160 ssb test. I took to long for breaks and
could have had a better score. I had put a bunch of toroid's in line and it
helped till one leg of the 80 dipole fell down near the shack. I had enough rf
in the shack to lock up the computer twice and had to reboot. I moved the
antenna during the test and that fixed it. I didn't even try and use the Co Atch
Co antenna on 80 meters. I got the log then pop function working again and was
able to use it a few times. Band conditions were not that great. I still had fun
on RTTY and need to plan on running more time on it. Again I need to quit being
a professional procrastinator.
This is a great 100 watt test and hope to do better next year.
