Comments:
Very strange conditions, with EU and west coast popping in for a little while
every now and then.
Worked 31 Europeans, all on CQ. Included some number of those juicy 17 and 18
point Russia and Ukraine stations. Never found any when I was S&P. Some of
them were really hard to pull out. Many thanks for their patience. QSB was
murder on the weaker ones.
We had originally scheduled a COVID family Christmas outdoors, masked, socially
distanced, for Friday, WX permitting. But 33F degree high and 15 MPH winds in
forecast, had to reschedule for better WX on Sunday. That meant I could not stay
up all night Saturday and sleep really late on Sunday. Had to be up early and
compos mentis to help the bride with setup. So pulled the switch at 05Z and hit
the sack. I'm sure that easily cost me 100+ Q's. There's always next year and
hopefully without all the current complications.
The party was great. 50F temp, sunshine and no wind.
K3 + KPA1500; Inverted L over FCP
