QTH: OR
Operating Time (hrs): 14
Summary:
Total: QSOs = 594 Total Score = 4,239
Club: Willamette Valley DX Club
Comments:
Think this is a personal best QSO total. Great to see so much activity. DX
conditions were not very good. Heard LY2XW just before the contest, but he
wasn't hearing anyone from NA. Also heard RD4F near the end of the contest.
Only managed 5 European QSOs - all in Northern Europe. JA activity seemed very
light - only 11 in the log. VK3IO was the only VK/ZL worked and no SA or
Africa.
Spent the day before the contest moving most of the HiZ 8 vertical array to a
better spot on the property. Seems like the new location is a winner as it is
working as well as, or better than my Beverages. Did discover some line noise
that made it harder than normal to work some of the weak ones.
TX: K3 + Alpha 77 to 97 foot tower loaded as a vertical
RX: 8 HiZ Array + 3 Beverages (East/JA and Europe)
