Comments:
well I was fitted with a heart monitor on Friday for 3 days and was not sure
about sitting in front of my tuner putting 100+ watts into a ladder line feeder
on 160m, so decided to go QRP this year to make sure I didn't screw up the
monitor readings. What a blast!!! Its been about 10 years since I did any
serious QRP. Gives the thrill of "DX" a new meaning. Very greatful
for all the great ears out there. So West coast and EU in the log and an
unbelievable 5 watt long path QSO with VE3DZ on 15m at 2048Z. Pointing the
hexxbeam SP at Yuri I got nothing by garble and S1 LP gave me S3 and clear
signal so I tried and he got me after a few calls. Wow! Must be my clear shot
over Lake Huron. I tried LP with a couple of VE3s on 20m with no luck. Amazing
CW activity. Too much fun, but other tasks took daylight time, so only 8
hours.
Thanks for the Qs.
