Comments:
The contest started Friday with decent sporadic E to Florida and the SE US.
This ended and was replaced by meteor scatter.
Saturday morning the band opened about 2 hours before sunrise with a combination
of Sporadic E to the W1 call area and a bit of Meteor scatter. Good rates and
even some decent runs on SSB. As the morning went on the sporadic e cloud moved
to the west but unfortunately only a handful of CA stations were heard. No
upper north west. were logged.By the afternoon, conditions just collapsed and I
didn't mind having to leave for several hours to help my daughter move.
Saturday night was almost entirely meteor scatter.
The pattern repeated on Sunday with very limited conditions Sunday afternoon.
No Alaska or Hawaii were heard despite spinning the knob extensively.
Likewise, no Africa or Europe were heard apart from a very weak V5 station.
Hope to see everyone next week in the RAC winter contest!
