Comments:
Wow! At 0329z, my computer screens went blank. I ended up managing to get the
computer to reboot, then it went into a 'wait 87% to go to finish updates....I
sat thru that. Then finally I got the logon screen and did so, but found I had
no keying and N1MM F-keys had no keying either. Still had normal keyboard
functionality and radio control, but no CW keying. I flipped a switch to switch
the paddles from the WKUSB to the radio and was able to continue the CWT semi
manually--programmed memores in the radio for CQ, dale 1241, tu. So carried on.
I found it was easier to just send my name and number than it was to reach for
the memory button the radio. Man, I had more than 50 QSOs at 0328 on my way to a
100+ hour; now it's just an 84 hour. In spite of the fubar computer self- (or
was it MS?)re-booting, still fun. Thanks for the QSOs.
73,
dale, kg5u
