Comments:
I set a goal of working 100 stations. I have some wire up about 20 feet so
really nothing at all for an antenna on 160. I was going to work a few loud
ones I could hear and that was about it.
Friday evening when I got on, signals seemed good and I worked my goal in about
an hour. Calling CQ was productive and many called in. I ended the evening
with about 350 in the log and over 70 sections. Conditions seemed very good and
I was able to work most stations with one call.
Saturday I got back on late afternoon and conditions seemed worse than the
evening before. Needed many fills, many continued to CQ and couldn't hear my
call. I opted for a family pizza evening with some friends.
Very happy to put over 400 in the log. Lots of great ops with great ears out
there. Thanks for the QSOs and the fun!! It has inspired me to try and improve
my 160 operating setup.
73,
Ryan KB9OWD
