Comments:
A big thank you to Tony, N7DX, for sharing the operating responsibilities this
weekend.
This last minute effort came together Friday morning, when Tony graciously
agreed to give our remote M/S a shot. We took turns operating. I was in the
shack, and Tony operated remotely from his home using SmartSDR with networked
copies of N1MM+. There were numerous hurdles to overcome, but in the end, we
finally made it work, thanks to Tony's outstanding technical expertise.
Rates the first night were fantastic, maybe the best I've ever experienced. The
second night was much tougher with many weaker signals and wicked QSB. Only EU
worked was CU2CE on Saturday night.
Sections missed were: RI, SFL, SJV, MAR, NL and NT. Weird to miss SJV and SFL,
but it happened.
Thanks to all that worked us.
73, Mitch, K7RL
