Comments:
I have a very compromised ground mounted vertical/wire sloper hybrid antenna for
80/160 meters. It utilizes a coil/trap for 160 meters and sits on my 67' x
98'city lot. It seems like it shouldn't work, but it does. I also have a
constant S6-7, sometimes peaking S-9, noise level.
So I am under no illusions that I am a Top-Gun on the Top-Band; after last
weekends max effort, I just wanted to mix it up and have some fun in the
contest. That I did!
It seemed like I had worked everyone that could hear me and those that I could
hear Friday night/Saturday morning. So, I spent Saturday night/Sunday morning
just working late comers. My highlight was working an HL Saturday morning just
before my sunrise; a new band/country.
Go Arizona Outlaws!
