Comments:
In CW SS I showed up Sunday afternoon at my favorite waterfront parking area and
had an amazing 145 QSOs in two hours with a KX3 and a 20M Ham Stick, parked ten
feet from salt water.
I know SSB would be a lot harder, and to prove it I spent about 45 minutes on
Sunday afternoon with the same setup while parked well inland at a drive through
COVID testing site. (Pre-contest preparations for a M/S at K5KG in CQWW CW; I
passed). Four QSOs, all of which involved pulling teeth and/or nose swabs.
I then stopped by my waterfront parking area, for ten QSOs in 20 minutes or so.
There some (but not all) people heard me, got my info with maybe a few repeats,
and I even had one or two guys compliment me on a good QRP signal. I guess being
next to salt water does help!
