Comments:
Had some difficulty getting motivated for this one, but when 15 meters opened up
so nicely in the days before the contest I decided to start up.
15 meters started with as good of an Asian opening as I've heard in years, and
20 meters stayed open nicely as well. But when I went to the low bands, well.
It was terrible. That's when I started to pay more attention to the weather.
It started snowing at about 3 PM and just kept falling. Snow static started up
on the 40m yagi, and I took a break.
Got up -- still snowing. Was fun to work a handful of JA's on top band, a first
on SSB. High bands were less affected by the snow, but the bands were
disturbed. Had taken many breaks and declared it a casual effort (there have
been a lot of those lately).
Around 5 PM local time on Saturday, a new line noise source that the power
company has not yet tried to fix fired up. All bands, s9 to the north. That
was pretty much it for the contest, as it didn't quit all day Sunday.
Friday night was fun at least!
