Comments:
Slow morning... Orion II, 2K-FA, Palstar AT4K, Butternut HF9V. Worked some old
friends and quite a few (relative to my total) Europeans.
I'm always experimenting with my gear. The roof-mounted vertical needs work, and
at my age I'm a bit leery of the 42' extension ladder. With the Palstar I can
get 1500w on 80, and the antenna is good enough to allow 1500w on 20 using the
amplifier's internal ATU, but I can't get more than about 400w on 40 with either
the ATU or the Palstar without the amp squealing or chirping.
Well, in any case it's always nice to see everybody, and thanks for the QSOs!
